Youngstock for Sale
Purebred Dales foals available to approved homes only. All our homebreds come with the option of young stock livery so that they can continue to develop their personalities in a family herd environment with the freedom that the Dales countryside provides. This is a wonderful mix of pasture, moorland and also regular exposure to the busy tourist village of Malham, which means they’re already prepared for what a busy ridden life might throw at them.
Once old enough they can enter a training programme with Great All Rounders to be personally and professionally prepared for their new home with you.
Owners are encouraged to visit often to develop a bond with their youngster and join in with their training every step of the way so that once they take their pony home a partnership has already been fostered.

What better genetic mix can a pony have? Son of Apollo and nephew of Great All Rounders’ Logan. Like his heritage would suggest, Tut behaves like he’s already read the training manual. Laid back, loving and ridiculously friendly, this cuddly fluff ball is nicely put together just like Mum and Dad and has the makings of a Great All Rounder.

Hermes naturally possesses that look at me factor blended with a wonderfully friendly nature. It’s all about me, me, with this fella. He’s a special boy and hasn’t been castrated yet as we do feel he’d be a great addition to someone’s breeding programme whilst having the attitude to also be a calm, trainable ridden stallion just like his Dad. He could be gelded for the right home.
Looking for a Dales Pony?
We have our homebred youngsters for sale but if you’re looking for a riding pony ready to go we may still be able to help. We regularly get contacted by people looking for special homes for their Dales ponies and so we might be able to put you in touch. We also get sent ponies for starting that are also for sale, so you can keep in touch with their training to see if this pony might suit you and put your name down on the list to be considered for one.
Sometimes a fully established pony will come to us to be matched to a new owner and home because the owner doesn’t either have the time to sift through the many enquiries these ponies tend to get, or just want to use our expertise and knowledge in matching ponies to riders.
When we match people we take everything into account. You may be a great riding fit but your set up has to suit the pony too. Some ponies thrive in a large yard livery environment whereas others are much more suited to a quieter small holding home. We try to take everything into account because we want to see both rider and pony thrive together. There are no quick sales here. Patience is needed from both parties, the seller and the buyer and we will do our best to facilitate.
We are pretty busy on site here doing all the various tasks, but sometimes there’s a chance to sneak away to help with viewings. So even if you’re searching for your forever Dales and we don’t have anything in, if you’d like company viewing other ponies out there, please get in touch. We’re very experienced in viewing ponies and seeing potential matches and happy to share the expertise. We just charge for our time on an hourly rate and happy to sift through photos and videos to help spot anything that would suggest a wasted journey.
